Los Angeles, CA, April 21 – CoMotion and dot.LA, with the support of Urban Movement Labs, Starburst Accelerator and Alliance for SoCal Innovation, today jointly announced the launch of Motivate SOCAL, a new regionally-focused event bringing a national and international spotlight on innovative early-stage companies in the emerging mobility space.

The half day virtual event, set for May 19, 2021 in Los Angeles, is designed to throw a global spotlight on the SoCal region’s most innovative young players in the emerging mobility space. Motivate SOCAL features a mix of panels, startup pitches, and networking gatherings — a compelling platform for regional startups (seed stage to series A) to pitch to a national and international audience of venture capitalists, business development leaders, investors,
policy-makers, and mobility enthusiasts.

This event comes at an important milestone for the local economy, as Southern California begins to emerge from the economic doldrums of the pandemic and create new jobs in advanced industries. “Emerging and zero-emission mobility is a huge card for the SoCal region to play in coming years” says John Rossant, CEO of CoMotion. “SoCal, with Los Angeles at its center, is more and more the premiere ecosystem for technology and transportation innovation.”
